Pros and cons of Lingopal Tagalog (Filipino) LITE - talking phrasebook app for iPhone and iPad

Lingopal Tagalog (Filipino) LITE - talking phrasebook app good for

Im always talking with offshore customer service reps. in the Phillipines and I wanted to learn some Tagalog just for fun. This app. is free and and has a wealth of interesting conversational phrases and everyday USEFUL words to learn. Its very easy to use and the audio playback functions are awesome considering its a free app.. Ive never encountered a technical problem with the Lingopal LITE software and have downloaded many other language apps. because of my experience with this one.
Lite vers has a few handy phrases, but whats up with, "Im a dolphin trainer."? LOL, other than that, has its uses. :)
Its so good to learn new things now I can talk to new friends on facebook
Have both the free & $0.99 version. This is probably the most accurate tagalog translator app available at a low cost. Only gripe, is that it is limited on phases but well worth the buck for essential phases.
I like it :) Im trying to learn the language and this helps. One thing you should do is add more phrases, sentences and maybe more words. =)
I like it that it talks to u. Thats the only real importAnt thing to me.as long as I know how its supposed to sound, learning it would be a breeze! If it had more phrases, that we do use everyday like types of foods, how to place an order..... I would have no problem spending $ to get this app. Good job!!!!

Some bad moments

I dont know what the problem is, but given the fact I just tried the Lite version of the Lingopal Spanish (Latin America) version, and it worked just fine, in fact it worked perfectly! However, this Tagalog Lite Version is a failure, and the same could be said for the Lingopal Japanese Version as well! Basically, when I go to click the "play" button to HEAR the spoken Tagalog phrase (or even Japanese) NOTHING happens! I dont know how to report a problem, so "reviewing" it will have to do. I dont know if any other languages are experiancing this problem, but I know for sure that the Spanish (Latin America) Lite Version works perfectly, but the Tagalog, and Japanese versions are essentially MUTE. Which is a MAJOR problem for me since Im trying to test the App before possibly purchasing it! Its not a great marketing tool to have a lite version that doesnt work audibly. Please fix this issue as soon as possible! My Step Mother is Filipino and even though she speaks SOME English, I would very much like to be able to learn some phrases and such in Tagalog so as to maybe become closer to her. Speaking her native language may make her feel more at home. Weve never really gotten along (shes been married to my father for quite a long time now) I figure if I learn some basic phrases and words in Tagalog, maybe shell "loosen up" a bit around me and my father. (Maybe hell learn some too if this App actually worked correctly) Everyone knows it is far easier to learn a language or even parts of one if the person can hear how words and phrases are pronounced, and possibly what the accent sounds like. Im VERY adaptive and everyone I know says I pick up on speaking words and phrases in other languages extrordinarily well, but I need to know the pronounciation first before I can speak it, just like a normal person, Im just extremely adaptive to accenting too. Please fix the issues on the Japanese and Tagalog Lite versions so the audio works as it should, and does with the Spanish (Latin America) Lite version does pefectly well. Im very much considering the purchase of the full versions of the Tagalog and Japanese Apps, but I want to be sure they will work properly, and if even the Lite version has issues, then I worry very much about purchasing full versions of these Apps from you. I may even possibly just get the 44 Language App as to have other languages in case thier needed in a pinch. PLEASE FIX THE AUDIO FOR TAGALOG AND JAPANESE LITE VERSIONS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! =P I would be more than happy to write a more positive review if everything was working as it should be as well as raising the rating to 5 stars instead of 2. =^-^= Thank you for your possible consideration! -Eisei Xethlex =^-^=
My husband is Filipino and he says the translations are not correct wrong tensesand wrong words.
Needs a lot more material, a dictionary, sentence examples, pictures, etc. This app just gives a novel drop in the bucket.
Had to remove it. Only has very few phrases and crashes if pushed a bit much. Waste!
If you were planning to have this as a side to your main tagalog learner starter kit, then okay why not? But if you think you can actually learn more than like 20 sentences, think again. And besides this app being VERY VERY LIMITED, there are also bugs in this app that need to be fixed but the creators were probably too lazy to do that too. Do NOT get this app. Friendly tip. Youre welcome. Might as well delete it now if you already deleted it.
I bought it since it said it had Tagalog but when I downloaded it, it was nowhere to be found.
